Laser Hair Removal
How does Laser Hair Removal work?
Using highly concentrated energy, Laser Hair Removal targets hair follicles and emits pulses of light that stop the growth of the hair. The complete Laser Hair Removal process requires a series of treatments, but results can start to be seen after the first treatment. Over the course of one to three weeks, the treated hair falls out. With every treatment, fewer and fewer hairs will grow back, leaving you with smooth skin.
What to Expect

Before Treatment
You’ll need to avoid sun exposure for a minimum of four weeks prior to treatment.

You’ll be asked to shave within 24 hours of your appointment.

All makeup and skin products will be removed prior to treatment.

During Treatment
We will prep the treated area by drawing white lines exactly where the treatments will take place.

Treatments average just under 30 minutes.

Bring headphones or a book to pass the time.

After Treatment
We’ll apply an Aloe Vera gel to cool off the skin after treatment.

You’ll need to keep the treated area out of the sun for at least a week.
​
Treated hair may fall out 7-21 days after treatment.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser hair removal is quick and easy. First, we thoroughly clean the treatment area and place protective gear over the eyes. Then, a technician uses a small wand to apply several light pulses to the treatment area. The session can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the size and hair condition of the treatment area.
ARE THE RESULTS PERMANENT
After six or more laser hair removal treatments, most clients experience an 80% reduction in hair growth. This change is permanent. Most people experience smooth skin in the treated area for several months following a session. Maintenance sessions may be required to touch up problem areas or to permanently remove thick, dark hair.
CAN I RESUME MY EVERYDAY ACTIVITIES FOLLOWING A SESSION
While there is no formal recovery process, you may experience temporary redness or irritation in the hours after treatment. This discomfort typically disappears within a few hours. You can return to work or resume your everyday activities immediately after the session.
You should avoid excessive sun exposure in the weeks following treatment, as UVA and UVB rays can increase the risk of irritation or hyperpigmentation.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE AFFECTS OF LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Most people do not experience adverse side effects after a laser treatment. While some people may have temporary redness or irritation, it should subside in a few days. Most people require six treatments to experience an 80% reduction in hair. While laser hair removal is permanent, more treatments may be needed in the future to maintain optimal results.
